Have you ever heard someone advise that you shouldn't care about spelling and grammatical problems while creating a first draught? That the first draught is only a means of putting your thoughts down on paper?
The same concept applies to sketching.
The initial stage in the design process is to sketch your cool ideas to draw, which is something that every artist should do.
It's not necessary to be flawless when sketching. The goal of your drawings is to get your thoughts down on paper as fast as possible.
